• GR punished since they were considered main aggressor
• Not as harsh as what GR did to Russia during the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
• TOV meant as peace keeping to ensure no war again
  • GR reduced to prevent them from being a threat

Unfair

• GR made to accept War Guilt Clause
  • Not given opportunity in negotiating the treaty or opposing it
• Terms were extremely harsh given GR's own economic situation
• Left GR vulnerable against other countries
