• GR felt it was forced on them
• No choice but to sign
  • Two choices given:
    1. Sign Treaty
    2. Invaded by Allies
• Did not resist as GR incapable of starting the war again
• Public angry and did not want it to be signed
  • Saw the new Weimar Government as betraying GR
    • "November Criminals"
