Digestion:
- Amylase do not 'break down' starch to maltose (break down could refer to physical breakdown)
- Starch molecule is too large to pass through the Visking tubing
In digestion, amylase digests starch to maltose. Maltose is a small molecule which can diffuse through Visking tubing.
