Anglo-German Naval Agreement June 1935

• TOV stated German navy should consist of only 6 warships and no submarines (Germany's punishment)
• Agreement granted GR a navy:
  • 1/3 the tonnage of Britain's surface fleet
  • Equal tonnage of Submarines
• Signalled the beginning of Appeasement
• Hoped that concessions would reduce German anger at TOV
  • Stabilise Europe
