Focusing on a near object
- Light rays from a near object enter the eye as diverging rays to fall on the Retina
- The retina sends impulses to the brain, which sends impulses to the ciliary muscles
- Ciliary muscles contract, causing the Suspensory Ligament to become slack
- Suspensory Ligament relax their pull on the Lens
- Lens becomes thicker and rounded, causing more refraction of the rays of light
